Communication and Advocacy Officer
About the Role:
We are looking for a Communications and Advocacy Officer for Dastak Foundation who has a knack for both creativity and storytelling. The individual will work closely with the Executive Director and Partnerships Manager to translate field insights, research, and programme learnings into clear, compelling communications. The individual will also be responsible for building a consistent and credible digital presence and creating high-quality visual and written content.
What you will do:
Content, Storytelling and Documentation:
- Support the creation of written content across blogs, newsletters, and social media
- Translate programme insights into simple, engaging content for digital platforms
- Assist in documenting work through photos, videos, and event/campaign coverage
- Ensure content follows brand voice and quality guidelines
- Develop and design social media campaigns for relevant International Days of significance.
Digital Platforms and Visibility
- Support planning and management of social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Create and publish social media content (posts, stories, basic reels)
- Design multimedia assets: Carousels, infographics, posters, and simple creatives.
- Designing key materials (reports, toolkits, quarterly newsletters, event creatives)
- Maintain a clean and consistent visual identity
- Track basic performance metrics and support website/content updates
Visual Documentation and Design Work
- Design toolkits and handbooks for programmes
- Co-create communication assets for campaigns, partnerships and advocacy
